Pear Salad Recipe

Pear Salad Recipe 2 tablespoons water 1 1/2 tablespoons red wine-vinegar 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 tablespoon honey 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard 1/4 teaspoon black pepper 1 pear (Bosc or Anjou works well), cut lengthwise into 15 slices 8 cups torn spinach 1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion
Whisk together water, vinegar, olive oil, honey, mustard and pepper in a small bowl. Place pears in a large serving bowl. Add 1 tablespoon dressing over pears and toss to coat. Add spinach, onion and remaining dressing, and toss to coat. Also try topping the salad with Gorgonzola, feta or blue cheese; topping with dried cranberries or raisins; or topping with sunflower seeds.
