Nectarine Tart

Nectarine Tart 1/2 cup unsalted butter 3/4 cup sugar 1 cup unbleached flour, sifted 1 teaspoon baking powder pinch salt 2 eggs 6-7 nectarines pinch sugar 1 teaspoon lemon juice
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Peel nectarines and cut into slices. Toss with the lemon juice and set aside. Cream butter and sugar in a bowl until light and fluffy. Add the flour, baking powder, salt and eggs, and beat until combined. Spoon the batter into a 10-inch pie pan. Place the nectarine slices on top of the batter, packing them tightly. Sprinkle lightly with lemon juice and sugar, if needed. Bake until golden brown (about 50-60 minutes).
