Blueberry Crisp
This Blueberry Crisp recipe is a family favorite from FruitShare founder Everett Myers. Taking advantage of the superb flavor of our organic blueberries, this Blueberry Crisp recipe is sure to be a winner.
Blueberry Crisp 3 pints fresh blueberries 3 tbsp all-purpose flour 2/3 c sugar 1/2 tsp cinnamon crisp topping (see below)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Toss the blueberries, flour, sugar and cinnamon together in a bowl. Dump this mixture into an 8x10-inch baking pan and spread out evenly. Sprinkle the crisp topping over the fruit mixture, covering the entire surface. Place the pan on the center rack in the oven and bake 30-35 minutes, until the topping is browned and the fruit is bubbling up through the topping.
For the crisp topping: 1/2 cup unbleached all-purpose flour 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar 2 oz (1/2 stick) cold unsalted butter 1/2 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped Mix the flour and brown sugar in a small bowl. Add the butter and cut in with two forks or a pastry cutter. Mixture should be the texture of fine crumbs.
